Personal instruction and group discussions are combined with ample opportunity for meditative practice in ideal surroundings. Fascinating encounters with people from different parts of the world stimulate the process.

What do you learn?

At the retreat, you learn how to use the technique for relaxation and stress management, and you lay the foundation for a fascinating process of personal development and self-understanding. 

After the retreat, you can practise the technique on your own, whether you choose to become a regular meditator or to meditate whenever you feel the need.

Course contents

Topics covered include:

  • Brief introduction and personal instruction
  • Applying the basic principles to your own practice
  • From stress reduction to personal process
  • Scientific research and the psychology of meditation

The book Acem Meditation - An Introductory Companion is included in the course fee. While you cannot learn the technique from a book, a CD, or the Internet, the psychology of meditation stimulates your practice and provides a fuller understanding of the process.

Guidance and seminars

Evening seminars explore the psychology of meditation and help you to enhance your meditative practice.

Small guidance groups led by experienced instructors provide you with ample opportunities to discuss your meditative experiences. This enhances meditation skills and deepens insights into central personal issues.

Yoga and interaction

Daily sessions of basic Acem Yoga have a refreshing effect and facilitate the meditation practice.

The activities of the retreat will enable rich and varied social interactions in an international milieu.
